Microsoft bought and improved the leading POS software in the US, Retail Management System (RMS). The program relates well with the family of Microsoft Dynamics financial software and is fully compatible with Intuit’s popular QuickBooks accounting program for small businesses.

A full installation of a POS system requires both software and hardware. Each checkout lane or cash register requires a terminal. Then management of the entire set of terminals, and related inventory and bookkeeping, requires aditional hardware and software.

A fully equipped cash register station includes the register, a small printer, barcode reader, scale, POS data display, bankcard terminal, debit card pinpad, and even more. You may want to configure stations differently for your operation.
